This Privacy Policy explains what information Loooper ("Loooper", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Loooper is operated by BlackThread. By using Loooper you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address, display name, and (if you sign in with Google) your Google account's basic profile (name, email, profile picture). Passwords are stored only as a salted hash; we never see your plain password.
- Content you create — the songs (YouTube video references and titles), loops, sets, notes, and practice activity you save while using the app.
- Feedback — messages and survey answers you choose to send us.
- Payment information — if you subscribe to Pro, payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and a customer reference, but we do not store your full card details.
- Usage & device data — basic technical information (such as app version and general interaction) needed to operate and improve the service.
How we use your information
- To provide the app — saving your library, loops, sets, notes, and practice history, and syncing them across your devices.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To process subscriptions and send service emails (e.g., password resets, email verification).
- To respond to your feedback and improve Loooper.
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
Loooper relies on the following providers, each with their own privacy practices:
- Supabase — database and storage for your account and content.
- Cloudflare — application hosting and delivery.
- Stripe — subscription payments.
- Resend — transactional emails (verification, password reset, waitlist).
- Google & YouTube — videos play through the YouTube IFrame Player API, and Google handles sign-in if you use "Continue with Google". Your use of these features is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Cookies & local storage
We use your browser's local storage and cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences (such as your last screen and dark-mode setting). If you use Loooper as a guest, your library is stored locally on your device and is not sent to our servers until you create an account.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your own content at any time from within the app. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at the address below.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To make a request, email us and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
Children
Loooper is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes may be highlighted in the app.
